Located in the heart of Northern Ontario, the Regional Centre for Cultural Entertainment inc. Kapuskasing is for the community, halfway between Hearst and Cochrane on Highway 11, a unique center of cultural and recreational services in the field. Governed by a board of directors composed of nine elected members, over the years, the Centre has become, about four hundred volunteers and five hundred and fifty members, supported ten permanent employees, the pillar of regional Francophonie. The Center serves an estimated more than 11, extending Opasatika in Smooth Rock Falls, 397 people francophone population, including not only the urban population Kapuskasing but also the surrounding villages which have no comparable municipal or community service. Several committees of volunteers and staff meet regularly to plan, implement and evaluate social and recreational cultural arts programming, .
